Go Nuclear Late Model Series Announces Lucrative Point Fund for 2014 Championship; Plenty of Big Events Coming Up This Season
Year after year, the Go Nuclear Late Model Series continues to grow and it has now become a premiere racing series throughout the Northeast and Ontario Canada. Now entering its first fourth season of existence, the Go Nuclear Late Model Series is working on a schedule that will feature several major events and an overall points championship that will pay $5000 to win and an amazing $1000 for 10th place! All other competitors with 100% participation receiving a minimum of $250.
The payout for the major events, and the overall points championship surpasses what many other tracks pay their top division for an entire season. With an action packed 11 race schedule tentatively planned, this series offers racers a chance to travel to new tracks, and be rewarded for their efforts.
“We have worked hard to come up with a very exciting schedule and point fund for our racers in 2014”, says series director Shayne Tenace. “We have added several new premier events to our existing shows and we have some big money on the line for these races and the overall championship. While no one is going to get rich racing and we certainly believe that racer’s don’t race FOR the money, we have made a major effort to make racing in a premier series economically viable for our race teams. I am extremely proud of the collection of teams that have been part of the series. They race hard but, as importantly, they also have FUN, and treat each other and everybody else with respect. They also know how to put a show on for the fans. We had several races feature last lap passes for the victory. We look forward to expanding this in 2014”
The Series will kick off the 2014 season with the 1st annual Atomic Spring Clash at the Mohawk International Raceway on Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th. Saturday will also feature the Empire Super Sprints along with the Go Nuclear Late Model Series opener paying $1000 to win. The Sportsman division will also be on the schedule for opening night, along with the ‘Legends of the North’ Autograph session featuring several top stars of the North County from the past. Sunday’s schedule will feature the Fission 50, with twin 25 lap features, $2500 possible to win, and a big shock giveaway for the Go Nuclear Late Model Series. The DIRTcar Sportsman Series will also be part of the program with a 50 lap. $1500/win tour race as well as the Fission Fest Fan Program, with in excess of $10,000 in prizes available to be won by fans who purchase an adult weekend pass. Other races for Sunday are TBA.
The official schedule has not yet been released, but we do have some major events coming up. The Atomic Spring Clash at Mohawk International Raceway, The Gnome Cup at Utica Rome Speedway, The Hustle at the High Banks at Fulton Speedway and the Atomic Triple Crown join Brighton Speedway’s Great Crate Race and the Richard Tenace Memorial as 2014 special events.
