Other winners Gary Lindberg from Ridgeway, Ontario going back to back in the Cosco Haulage DIRTcar Sportsman feature. James Thompson from St. Catharines, Ontario won the JC Auto Street Stocks feature to claim his first Humberstone victory. Hilary Haegens from Fenwick, Ontario claimed the win in the Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks while Evan Curtis from Port Colborne, Ontario picked up his second Trackside Decals Mini Stock feature. Sam Iftody from Fenwick, Ontario won the Frontier Auto Dismantlers Pure Stock feature event. A gigantic fireworks display from Red Boss Pyrotechnics lit up the sky at the end of the night.

AJ Kingsley and Paul Grigsby led the stout field of Go Nuclear Late Models to the double green flags from starter John Veach and it was Kingsley getting the jump. Ed Carley got around Paul Grigsby to take over second with Dale Caswell looking to join that battle for second. Opening night’s Peters Excavating UMP DIRTcar Pro Late Model feature winner Zack Carley worked his way through the field and got into the top ten by the races tenth circuit. Kingsley hit lap traffic by lap 10 and the caution for Shayne Tenace who came to a stop in turn four.

The restart would see Kingsley pull away pull away from Grigsby but Dale Caswell would get around Grigsby for second place. Ed Carley and Rick Miller would also pass Grigsby for positions three and four. Miller and Carley would battle for third but the caution came back out for Brian Down who hit the front stretch wall and came to a stop in turns one and two. The restart would see Kingsley and Caswell go side by but the yellow lights would come back out for David McDonald who went three wide in turn three and collected Rob Pietz. Ed Carley would join leader AJ Kingsley on the lap 17 restart and Carley would have a bad restart and finally got in line in mid-pack.

The races halfway mark would see Kingsley leading Rick Miller and Miller would carry his momentum on the topside of the speedway and go side by side with Kingsley for several laps and would clear Kingsley and took over the lead on lap 23. Kingsley would use the lap cars to his advantage as he got back underneath Miller for the lead but cold not complete the pass for the lead. The yellow lights would be bright once again on lap 27 as young gun Bryce Davis from Hornell, NY would stall in turn two. Western New York pilot Bill Holmes also had issues and came pitside as well on lap 27. The restart saw Miller pull away from Kingsley and Caswell.

Rick Miller would hold off all challenges and would pick up the checkered flag. AJ Kinglsey would finish second and was followed to the line by Caswell, Charlie Sendercock and Sean Beardsley completing the top five. “I blamed my spin completely on me” said Miller in victory lane.

Robert Baker and Brad Rouse led the field of Cosco Haulage DIRTcar Sportsman to the green flag for their 25 lap feature event and Rouse had the lead at the line on the opening light. Opening Night’s feature winner Gary Lindberg got around Baker to take over the runner up spot on lap three and began his chase of race leader Rouse. Brian Schmidt lost the handle of his racer to bring out the first caution of the event on lap five. The restart saw Lindberg take the lead away from Rouse and Greg Panunte make it a three car battle for the lead. At the races halfway mark, the yellow lights would come back on as Travis Miller spun in the apex of turns one and two.

On the restart, Cody McPherson would go to the bottom side of the speedway to try to get around Panunte but Panunte, a former divisional champion would hold off McPherson. The caution would come back out on lap 18 as Matt Sharpe would spin in turn three. The restart would see Lindberg pull away but a multi-car crash halted the field and would include Dave Flannigan, Dan Miller, Jordan Cosco, Ron MacAuley and Derrick Hodge came together in turn one. All drivers were able to get to the pits under their own power or with assistance by the CAA Tow Trucks. The restart saw Lindberg go back to the outside and pull away from Brad Rouse but Rouse was right there challenging the race leader. Rouse would try the slide job on lap 22 but the yellow lights would come back on by the slowing Jordan Cosco. The race had a two lap shootout to decide the winner with Rouse trying to get underneath but Lindberg was able to hold off Rouse to grab his second win of the season. Greg Panunte would finish third and he was followed to the line by Cody McPherson and Adam Leslie.

James Thompson and Kevin Knapp led the field of JC Auto Street Stocks to the green flag with Thompson leading the way. The yellow lights came on lap number three for Jack Myers and Doug Crawford. The early race restart saw Thompson pull away from Knapp as Knapp was being challenged by Cory Turner and Jason Fontaine. Turner would get underneath Knapp and take over second. Thompson continued to show the way at the halfway mark with Turner, Jason Fontaine and Knapp all racing for the lead. Fontaine would get under Turner to take over second on lap 12. The caution would come back out on lap 17 as Doug Crawford spun in turn four.

The late race restart saw Thompson pull away from “Fonz” but James Thompson would hold off Jason Fontaine to claim his first Humberstone victory. Cory Turner finished third and was followed by Kevin Knapp and Alex Morris.

Jamie Ayers and Rick Book led the field of Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks to the green flag in their feature event and it was Ayers jumping into the lead. Andy Imbeault would get underneath Ayers and take over the lead on lap six. Ayers’s great run would come to an end after spinning in turn four. Imbeault would lead Danny Wurster and Hilary Haegens. Wurster would get loose and spin in turn two to bring out the caution on lap 11. Haegens would look underneath Imbeault for the lead and would be dead heats at the start finish line and Haegens would pass Imbeault on the last lap and would beat Imbeault and Taylor Vanderzanden to the start finish line to pick up her first win of the season.

Evan Curtis and Tyler Lafantaisie were on the front row of the Trackside Decals Mini Stocks feature event and it was Curtis leading the opening lap with Lafantaisie and Kyle Rothwell going three wide for the lead on races second circuit. New father Brandon Iudiciani got around Lafantaisie for second on lap five and Kyle Pelrine passed Lafantaisie a lap later for third place. Pelrine would pass Iudiciani on lap eight to take over second. The two would get together just one lap later and did a simple roll on the front stretch. Pelrine was alright and was able to drive the car back to the pits. The five lap dash became a four lap dash after Katie Cosco spun in turn two. The restart saw Curtis leading Rob Goulding and Kyle Rothwell and Goulding went underneath Curtis for the lead in turns three and four but Curtis had the momentum and kept the lead when the white flag came out. Evan Curtis would hold off Goulding for the win. Rothwell, Lafantaisie and Garnet Wilson completed the top five.

Bill Smith and Mason Smith led the field of Frontier Auto Dismantlers Pure Stocks to the green flag with Bill Smith leading the opening circuit. Sam Iftody took over the lead on lap three and pulled away from Smith and Brad Alward. Alward would pass the spinning Bill Smith to take over second on lap six and would begin chasing down Iftody. Opening night feature winner Kyle Tomaski would get around Brad Booker for fourth at the races halfway mark. Craig Revelle – Finish Line Web Design
May 16, 2013

There are just a few days left before the first race on the schedule for the Go Nuclear Late Model Series kicks off their 2013 campaign. The popular series continues to grow each year, and Humberstone Speedway is just one of the new and exciting additions to this year’s schedule which will be broken up into a North and South division, allowing teams to follow a particular series and stay closer to home, or run all ten point events in both the north and south for a chance at an even bigger point fund.

Both the Excel Tower Service North Division and the Peters Excavating South Division will get underway this week. Humberstone Speedway will be up first with the South Division on Sunday night with a 35 lap main event. The Excel Tower North Division kicks off on Wednesday night at Chapman’s ...

Both the Excel Tower Service North Division and the Peters Excavating South Division will get underway this week. Humberstone Speedway will be up first with the South Division on Sunday night with a 35 lap main event. The Excel Tower North Division kicks off on Wednesday night at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park with a 25 lap main event.

“Most of us have had a taste of racing at our local tracks, but we are ready to hit the road and get the Go Nuclear! Late Model Series started for 2013”, says competitor and series organizer, Shayne Tenace. “We are looking forward to bringing the series to Humberstone Speedway for the first time on Sunday, and making a return trip to Can Am on Wednesday”.

Last year’s Go Nuclear! champion Dale Caswell will be back to defend his title, and will be challenged by many familiar faces and some new faces when the green flag flies to start the 2013 series.

There will be a lot of cash up for grabs this season with the new divisional point funds worth $5000 each being added to supplement the $6000 fund previously in place, resulting in $16,000 being available for only 10 races (and one non-points race). Series competitor Greg Belyea of Excel Tower Service will sponsor the Northern Division, and Peters Excavating sponsoring the South Division is still pending. Competitors could win as much as $4000, with each of the divisional points championships paying $1250 to win and the overall points championship paying $1500 to the winner. Cars with attendance at all points events will also be entered into the 100% club contingency prize drawing, with all members receiving contingency prizes and the opportunity to win a brand new 604 crate engine.

The “Atomic Power Racing Hour” program also returns with a minimum of six episodes. The popular show returns with its unique blend of in-car, on-track, and behind the scenes footage. “We received a tremendous amount of positive feedback on our first year programming and look forward to building from there,” said series organizer Shayne Tenace. “With any luck from mother nature and support from our series partners, we will have even more than six programs in 2013. The audience and value it brings is just so much higher than a traditional race event.”

The Go Nuclear! Series is proud to associate ourselves with our many fine sponsors, without whom we could not be successful. We would like to thank Lias Tire, Bilstein Shock Absorbers, FX Caprara, Atomic Chassis, Tony D’Angelo A/V, Ed Carley Motorsports, Bernheisel Race Cars, Tenace Diversified LLC, King Landscaping and Finish Line Web Design for their support, as each company is an integral part of the success of our Series. We also want to thank the fans and competitors for their continued support this season.

Today, more than ever, motorsports offers one of the most unique and effective opportunities to promote and sell products and services. Compared to other programs, motorsports marketing offers diverse demographics, economical promotional programs and a significant return on investment. The Go Nuclear! Late Model Series is currently seeking additional sponsors and marketing partners for the 2013 season. For more information, contact Shayne Tenace at shayne@tenaciousracing.com or call at 315-530-3591.

Y. – May 8, 2013 – The DIRTcar 358-Modified Series revs up north of the border with back-to-back races at Ontario tracks. The series opens Sunday, May 19, at Cornwall Motor Speedway in Cornwall, Ontario, and heads west to take on the 3/8-mile clay oval at Merrittville Speedway in Thorold, Ontario, Monday, May 20.

“Feel the Excitement”: 358-Modifieds Open at Cornwall

The first of the two races promises a night of excitement for the fans as the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series competitors present opening night for the series and for Cornwall Motor Speedway’s 2013 season. The Minute Auto Wash Canadian Nationals presented by Gaetan’s Chip Stand on Sunday, May 19, features a 100-lap DIRTcar 358-Modified Series feature, a 40-lap Mohawk Racing Parts Pro Stock Series feature, plus Sportsman, Semi Pro and Mini Stock weekly divisions.

Many weekly competitors in the 358-Modified division at Cornwall Motor Speedway agree that their home track’s high-banked quarter-mile clay oval is a thrilling place to race.

“It’s a real fast, small, high-banked track with multiple groves of racing even when it’s dried out, you can run the top, the bottom, the middle,” said driver of the No. 151kb Brian McDonald, who ranked seventh in track points at Cornwall in 2012 and 10th in points for the series.”It’s definitely a very exciting place to watch racing – it’s very fast-paced even when the track is slowed down or a little slick.”

McDonald aims to continue running Cornwall Motor Speedway on a weekly basis in 2013, while also running at Brockville Ontario Speedway as a home track and following the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series.

“We didn’t do the whole thing last year, just hit or miss,” McDonald said of the series, “but we had a few decent finishes so if we do the whole thing we may do well in points.”

Adult general admission tickets are just $25 for the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series opener at Cornwall Motor Speedway, located just across the Seaway International Bridge. Racing starts at 7 p.m. and gates open at 5:30 p.m.

D-Track Debut: Round 2 at Merrittville

The excitement won’t end Sunday, with 358-Modified Series racers wheeling southwest from Cornwall to take on the challenging Merrittville Speedway in Thorold, Ontario, the very next day. The Monday, May 20, race night, presented by Zavitz Financial Strategies & Employee Benefits, features a 100-lap DIRTcar 358-Modified Series event plus a Hoosier Stock duel and the first Enduro Qualifier.

Track owner and 23-time 358-Modified Merrittville track champion Pete Bicknell said that even the series’ best have their work cut out for them on the D-shaped 3/8-mile banked clay track.

“It’s probably one of the hardest tracks to figure out because turn 4 is so tricky,” said Bicknell, whose experience at Merrittville and in the 358-Modified division has earned him the nickname “Mr. Small Block.” “It just takes experience. It takes lots of laps to figure out. It’s something that very few people can come and adapt to right away.”

“They say if you can race well at Merrittivllle, you can race well anywhere,” Bicknell contended.

On his way to proving that mantra is Merrittville’s own Mat Williamson. The 6m pilot collected six top-five finishes out of 12 starts in last year’s DIRTcar 358-Modified Series to finish second in points. In track points at Merrittville, Williamson fell just 14 points of the top spot – held, of course, by Pete Bicknell. This year the 23-year-old Williamson is at it again, already first in track points and ready to take on the series.

“I’m pretty excited to have a 358 race start off the year at my home track,” Williamson said. “Hopefully we can get in a good run at home and start campaigning on the series in the points battle.”

After a successful 2012 season at Merrittville plus success last year at Cornwall making two top-five finishes out of two starts, Williamson hopes these first series races at a couple of his strongest tracks will fuel some momentum going into the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series.

“We run good at Cornwall,” Williamson said. “I don’t think that we can go there and go to Merrittville and not have a good couple nights on the series. We’re still looking for our first series win, so hopefully between those two races we can get it.”

Williamson, of St. Catharines, Ontario, said he is also looking forward to some Big-Block Modified shows, and is preparing several Super DIRTcar Series events. Last year, he racked up one top-five finish and two top-tens out of his two starts in the Big-Block Modified tour. Nonetheless, he said the small block still takes precedence in 2013.

“We’re going to kind of see where we’re sitting in points,” Williamson said. “We were going to see if we could solve both series, but there are some conflicting dates so that’s where we’re going to focus on the 358 tour.”

For the second race of the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series, pit gates open at 4 p.m., front gates at 5:30 p.m., and racing begins at 7 p.m. For more information, visit the track website at www.merrittvillespeedway.com or call (905) 829-8266.
WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – May 3, 2013 -After winning an unprecedented three consecutive Super DIRTcar Series championships, Matt Sheppard clearly has established himself as the Big-Block Modified driver to beat. Sheppard, though, will have his hands full when the 2013 season opens with the Hall of Fame 60 on Wednesday, June 5, at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, N.Y.

Here are some of the superstars attempting to capture the 2013 Super DIRTcar Series crown:

Brett Hearn: Close Call

Brett Hearn, of Sussex, N.J., fell short of Sheppard by just 45 points last year, even after missing two tour races because of illness. The Madsen Motorsports/B.H. Racing Enterprises No. 20 driver claimed some of the most impressive victories, flying from a 23rd starting spot for the win at Lebanon Valley Speedway’s Mr. DIRT Track U.S.A., staying strong for the victory in Orange County Fair Speedway’s Eastern States 200, winning the coveted VP Small Engine Fuels 200 trophy during NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week, and wrapping it up with a victory during the World Finals in Charlotte.

Hearn started off the 2013 season strong, with a victory at the Super DIRTcar Series Florida Tour finale during UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment, giving him momentum going into the first points race of the seriesJune 5at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park.

Stewart Friesen: Bonus Points

Stewart Friesen, another strong title contender, demonstrated his skill numerous times on Syracuse’s “Moody Mile” at the New York State Fairgrounds, but his lack of home track points kept him from scoring a high rank in the series. This year, the native of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, added Albany-Saratoga Speedway to his weekly schedule, qualifying him for those integral home track bonus points.

“Hopefully we seat ourselves well with the home track points at Albany-Saratoga and can put some stuff together to hit the whole (Super DIRTcar) Series,” said Friesen, who in 2010 became the first Canadian to win the NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week Big-Block Modified championship race.

In addition to adopting a DIRTcar sanctioned home track in 2013, Friesen is teaming up with Brett Deyo, of BD Motorsports Media, to promote a Super DIRTcar Series race. The Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. “Dirty Jersey 60″ brings the Big-Block Modified tour to New Egypt (N.J.) Speedway on Wednesday, June 19.

“Brett Deyo is a great friend of mine and we talked a little at the end of the 2012 season about getting together and promoting a race. We were going to do it, and we both knew that New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey would be a great location,” Friesen said. “It’s a premier facility and we didn’t have to think twice about who we were going to bring for an event. We wanted to bring the premier modified organization, and that’s DIRTcar.”

Due to the event’s location, Friesen expects the “Dirty Jersey 60″ to match the best of the Northeast and Canada with some of the most talented drivers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and some of the other mid-Atlantic states.

“Billy Pauch, Jimmy Horton, Ryan Godown- a lot of the big names down there – don’t necessarily make it to all the series events, so it’s something that’s going to be kind of an all-star event,” Friesen said. “The SuperDIRTcarSeries brings a lot of the northern guys, a lot of Canandiagua guys, who have never been to New Egypt. It’s going to be the best race of the summer.”

Bobby Varin: Ready to Travel

Bobby Varin, winner at last year’s The Big Show 4 at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, may also have some tricks up his sleeve for the 2013 season. With more help preparing race cars, Varin said he will have more time to travel hopes to compete in most of the Super DIRTcar Series races.

“We’re going to try and hit those shows as often as we can,” said Varin, who plans on towing the No. 00 and the Atlas Paving 66 to Super DIRTcar Series shows. “We’ve always been fairly competitive when we show up to these events and we’ve got a number of Super DIRT Series wins, so I feel pretty confident that we can compete.”

Like Friesen, Varin did not have the opportunity to pick up home track bonus points in 2012. This year, however, his points from Orange County Fair Speedway stand to put him in contention for top spots. Add in Varin’s demonstrated strength in long-distance races, and both Sheppard and Hearn will have their work cut out staying ahead.

“I feel fairly confident that we’ll be in good shape for the extra-distance races,”Varin said. “It gives you a chance to get in the car, shake the car out, get a good feel for what’s going on, then adjust as a driver, and see what you can come up with at the end of the night.”

Pete Britten: Confident after Success “Down Under”

Australian Pete Britten barely took time off this winter, claiming two dirt modified wins in his home country. His confidence showed in February’s UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment when Britten finished third in the first Super DIRTcar Series feature race.

“I think we’re at the point where things are taking a bit of a turn. I honestly don’t see a reason why we can’t be challenging for wins every night of the week,” said Britten, who finished third in points last year but is still working toward his first Super DIRTcar Series win. “These guys better look out because I’m really confident as a driver, and I’m confident in my equipment, and when you put those two together you’ll be good.”

Jimmy Phelps: Clean Slate

Jimmy Phelps, who was within shouting distance of the championship up until the very end of the 2012 season, aims at improving some of his weak spots early this long before his November haul to North Carolina for World Finals in Charlotte.

“Any time you’ve got a clean slate and a fresh shot at trying to make a new season out of it, it’s exciting,” said Phelps, of Baldwinsville, N.Y., who finished third in points last year.”As usual, we’ve got the tools to get it done, we just have to make sure that we start running a little better at certain tracks and we’ve got our shot come Charlotte. We just have to get a little better and eliminate some of the mediocre finishes that really hurt us. You don’t really notice them until you get to the end of the year and you’re digging and clawing for 30 points that you left on the table further back. The next thing is to try and build some consistency and win some races and everything should fall into place.”

Justin Haers: Building Up for a Win

Justin Haers, of Phelps, N.Y., came close to a win at UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment, and said his program is strong enough going into the 2013 season to get even closer.

“Each year we just keep building on our program, and we keep getting better and better, and that’s all you can ask for,” said Haers, who finished fourth in points last year.

Matt Sheppard: Keeping It Together

With increasing competition in this year’s Super DIRTcar Series point battle, Sheppard said his team has what it takes for another successful season -”a lot of hard work, a good motor program, a great car.”

“You have to have your whole program together, and, basically, you really have to keep it together,”said Sheppard, of Waterloo, N.Y. “I think our program is a little better, but it’s too early to see.”

He’ll set his sights on a fourth consecutive championship on Wednesday, June 5, at Rolling Wheels.

Danny Johnson: The Doctor Is In

Danny Johnson, of Rochester, N.Y., finished fifth in points in 2012 and continues to run with Canandaigua Motorsports Park as his home track in 2013. Rich Scagliotta, eighth in points last year, continues to travel with Britten to Super DIRTcar Series events.

Rob Bellinger: Star on the Rise

Rob Bellinger, of Dexter, N.Y.,was ninth in points in 2012, and is especially looking forward to running the big shows, such as the Hall of Fame 60 at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park and the VP Small Engine Fuels 200 during NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week.

Greg Panunte and BJ Willard were on the front row of Cosco Haulage DIRTcar Sportsman feature event. Rookie Jordan Cosco spun in turn one on the opening circuit also collecting Travis Miller, Cody McPherson, Dave Conant and several others were all collected, forcing a complete restart. Panunte and Willard led the stout field back to the green flag with Panunte showing the way. Brad Rouse and BJ Willard battled for second and Rouse passed Willard on lap six to take over the runner up spot. Rouse continued to reel in the race leader Panunte at the halfway mark with the leaders battling through heavy lap traffic. With less than ten laps remaining, the leaders were joined by Gary Lindberg making it a “three way dance” and took over the lead on a beautiful move in turns one and two on lap 19. A late race restart saw Lindberg pull away from the battle for second between Rouse and Panunte with Austin Wood making it a three car battle for second. Ray Hockridge spun in turn four to set up a green-checkered lap to decide the winner on Opening Night and Lindberg picked up the win. Panunte, Rouse, Wood and Darrel Faraway completed the top five.

Darren Peters and Rob Ledingham led the field of Peters Excavating UMP/DIRTcar Late Models with Peters taking over the lead. Paul Grisby took over second from Ledingham. Zack Carley took over the runner up spot on lap three from Grisby and Jorden Peters took over third from Grisby just one lap later. A caution came out on lap ten for a spinning Rob Pietz to bunch the field up for the first time since the opening green flag lap. Peters got the jump on Carley on the restart but Carley was able to take over the lead from Darren Peters on lap 12. The yellow lights came on again on lap 13 for Ken Winfield spinning in turn three. Carley led Peters and Jorden Peters around the speedway with Rob Ledingham passed Jorden Peters for third on lap 15. Just one lap later, Bill Holmes, a former BRP CanAm Tour competitor lost his engine in turn four. Darren Peters lost the handle on his ride on lap 18 and lost the second spot. Bill Gill spun in turn three on lap 19 to set up a green-checkered finish. Zack Carley was able to hold off Jorden Peters and Luke Carleton to pick up the win.

Jim Lampman and Paul Reichel led the field of the JC Auto Street Stocks to the green flag of starter John Veach and it was Reichel leading the opening circuits. Lampman took over the lead away from Reichel on lap three. Yellow lights came on for the first time on lap five for a collision in turn four between Doug Crawford and Cory Turner. The restart saw Lampman lead the field with former track champion Jason Fontaine taking second away from Reichel and “Fonzie” took over the lead on lap nine. Lampman got loose coming off of turn four and lost several spots and was able to continue on. Alex Morris was able to slip under Lampman to take over second place on lap 11. Jason Fontaine was able to hold off Alex Morris and Paul Reichel to pick up the feature win.

Colton Ledingham and Craig Vlasic led the field of Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks to the green flag for their feature event with Vlasic showing the way. Qualifying event winner Danny Wurster was on the move and was battling for the lead until second year driver Jamie Ayers lost the handle on her truck and spun in turn four. On the restart, Vlasic and Wurster continued to show the way with defending divisional champion Mike Toovey made it a three way battle for the lead. Wurster was able to take over the lead off a mid-race restart. Vlasic got loose off of turns one and two and lost several positions as Hilary Haegens and Adam Nicholls was able to pass Vlasic. Colton Ledingham spun his truck in turn two to set up the first attempt of a green-checkered finish. Vlasic had a broken right rear axel and rolled his truck once down the front stretch. Craig Vlasic walked away from his rollover under his own power. Danny Wurster was able to hold off Haegens to pick up the win.

Brandon Iudiciani and Nate Monahan led the field of Trackside Decals Mini Stocks to the green flag with Iudiciani leading the opening circuits. Kyle Pelrine got underneath Iudiciani on several occasions during the 15 lap feature event The leaders went five wide in turn three and Pelrine and Tyler Lafantaisie came together in turn four while Evan Curtis took over the lead. On the restart, Rocco Conte tried to reel in the leader but was in a battle with Pelrine and early race leader Iudiciani. Evan Curtis was able to hold off Pelrine and Conte to grab the victory.

Brad Booker and Bill Smith led the field of Frontier Auto Dismantlers Pure Stocks on to the speedway for their opening night feature with Booker getting out to the early race advantage. Olivier Larocque started third and by lap three took over the race lead. Larocque got loose exiting the second turn and Sam Iftody took over the lead. Iftody continued to show the way at the halfway mark over Larocque and heat winner Kyle Tomaski. The first yellow of the race came out on lap nine when Olivier Larocque got loose and spun in turn four and landed in the gully. Iftody and Booker led the field back to the green flag for the three lap shootout with Iftody out front and Sam Iftody held off Tomaski and Booker and crossed the line first however Iftody and Booker failed to meet weight at the scales and Kyle Tomaski was awarded the win.

Racing returns next Sunday on Mothers Day featuring the Sportsman, Late Models, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Pro 4 Trucks and the Pure Stocks.
